Royal VKB French Carafe Set, Glass Carafe with Four Glass Tumblers

I would recommend this product to anyone who likes a sturdy glass and enjoys having chilled water on hand. My cabinets are so full of miscellaneous glasses and mugs that I really love the fact that these tumblers are stackable. Not only that but both tumblers and carafe are simply elegant and based on a nearly 100 year old design. I know they're supposed to be relatively shatterproof but I'm not expecting that with a stone tile kitchen floor.Update, February 2014Well, it happened. One of my duralex glasses fell on my stone tile kitchen floor and it DIDN'T break!

A beautiful everyday jug for water or wine, I use mine mainly for going to the backyard deck. It's very sturdy and each time I've used this, I've received compliments from guests. I do have the matching Picardie glasses in various sizes however, not in the cup size included in this set so I had to purchase another set since 4 wasn't enough. I have stacked up to 6 glasses on this with no problems.The cup size is a little small so I would have preferred if they designed it for one cup size larger but I'm finding some extra duty on the glasses which are nice for small kids or espresso for a small flat white or americano.

My wife LOVED this as a gift. Apparently these are common at French sidewalk cafes... who knew.It's handy in that it enables you to carry the water and cups at once, but more than that, it's designed in a way that you don't see every day, so it's become one of those things she likes for its looks.The glasses are a little small, which I'd noticed before ordering, but not as small as I pictured.Great price, great quality. Amazon's price was much less than other retailers.

With a little trepidation, I took the plunge and purchased this product. I could not be happier! I already had the Duralex Picardie tumblers in all eight sizes as well as the matching bowls. I was worried that this was going to look like a bad reproduction or a knock off. Royal VKB did a great job with the clarity as well as perfectly matching the angling of the nine sides of the Picardie glasses. The four Picardie glasses that come with the carafe are manufactured by Duralex, complete with the Duralex name/logo and "Made in France" embossed on the bottom of the glassware. The glasses that come with the carafe are the 160ml/16cl (5 5/8oz) size. As other reviewers have mentioned they are on the small size for American tradition. I find that they are ideal for the get together with friends on the deck and enjoying some juice, water, wine or whatever you'd like to decant with well crafted style. I will be purchasing more for making different sangrias for summer entertaining!

This is a match for a set of Duralex glasses I have for the kitchen and bar in our house, it includes four Duralex Picardie galsses which are proportionally smaller than the juice glasses in the 18pc set Duralex offers, so they look like they could be part of the set as double shot glasses. As always, they're tempered Duralex glasses which nest and are really hard to break, and these that come with this carafe are frickin adorable.

I ordered several carafes before I landed on this one. Most of them were so delicate that they arrived broken!It is well made and sturdy. Does not slip from your hands while washing.The only thing I would change about this is that the drinking glass faces up (as shown in picture) when resting, I would have liked one that would face down so as to avoid collecting dust.Good item for the price

The glasses are originals, made in France, with the classic awesome look and feel.The pitcher is an imitation of the glass's design, but not badly done, although you can see quite a few mismatches in the details. It is made who-knows-where, since it is not specified. But it does the job well.Good deal for the money.

This is a great carafe and glass set. The glasses are perfectly sized for real orange juice, sparkling water or as a drinking glass for a toddler. As far as the sturdiness of the glasses and carafe they have held up well to constant use and abuse from small hands. I will say that the best part of the set are the glasses, but the aspect of being able to carry everything together at one time is a big plus.
