Fast, easy and cheap way to get every Computeractive issue from 2014 on your PC - must have for every reader
What a brilliant idea - a whole year's Computeractive (my new favourite magazine) on one CD. I subscribed to Computeractive in early 2015. I had only just discovered it. I love how it's written, in the kind of language normal people use, not 'geeks'. I really wanted to get hold of the issues I had missed in 2014, but thought I had no way to do so.But the CD does just that. You can read every issue from last year, so I've got lots to catch up on (XP, security scares, Windows 10, removing junk, scams to avoid, best new software, problems solved etc, etc). The quality of the PDFs is good - you can zoom into each magazine and read the words easily. Best of all, you can search for features you want to read - such as 'windows 7', 'ipad', 'nexus', 'malware', 'cryptolocker', and so on. I found a feature I was looking for on how to stop hackers locking my PC.It works fast on my Windows 7 PC and Windows 8 laptop. It even works on my knackered old XP PC. It's easy to use too. The CD starts automatically, the menus are to follow, and you can simply click the links on the contents page There's a good 'Help' section with simple instructions. The cartoon on the front even looks a bit like me (big nose!).All in all, it's a must have for every reader. It's a bargain too, because 26 issues cost over 50 quid. This CD is just £15. It arrived in days, and was in my PC as soon as opened the envelope. Sorted!!

Good to see all of 2014 on one disc
High time Computer Active sold their CD library through Amazon, rather than the haphazard and clunky site they used before. Good to see all of 2014 on one disc, and handy to have. Although I have a subscription to the magazine I still buy the CD every year to allow me to recycle the mags and add the CD to my library. Long may it continue. :-)A good, down to earth, and practical computer magazine, for those who are not techie.

Great way to keep them all
perfect way to store so much unfortunately unless there is an updated version it wont work on Win 10 so its either copy or lose it when my win 7 laptop bites the dust

Worth the money
These are great. Always originally thought I didn’t want to effectively have to pay again for the magazines as I always retained a few years of them to research reviews or articles to help with issues. However I now find these CD’s brilliant and well worth buying as it makes it so much easier to search and find the information and means I can recycle all the old magazines.

Very Good. I would like a Back Issues CD for ever year in the future. It gets over the problem of what to do with keeping a pile of back issues for reference purposes. On initial examination, some pages seemed to be missing. However, when compared to the magazine itself, it transpired that the missing pages were advertisements only.

CA Back issues CD
Have not been happy with the last two issues of these discs. I had to complain to Dennis Publishing about how badly the search facility now works (or should I say doesn't). And was more or less told 'tough'. It's like that to keep the cost down. I found that when I clicked on a topic. Instead of the topic high lighting and the search going straight to the subject. The whole section highlighted and started on the first topic necessitating a long annoying scroll to find your subject. I've learned to deal with it and put up with it.

I subscribe to the magazine and I always saved them for reference. I find this CD a convenient and efficient way of saving and finding the information in the magazine and it takes up a lot less space than the 26 magazines. Well worth the money for the time saved not having to look through a pile of magazines to find an article or review, it's indexed so searching is
