Avantree WATERPROOF Bluetooth Motorbike Helmet Headset with Boom Microphone for Riders Intercom, Phone Calls, GPS (TOMTOM Navigation), Music, Interphones - HM100P

I was looking for something that I could listen to music whist I rode but I didn't want to pay a fortune and this is a great piece of kit. The battery power receiver/transmitter charges via USB and is attached to the side of the helmet via an adhesive velcro pad that comes included (there's also a second pad for if you have two helmets). It connected to my Huawei P9 via bluetooth connection very easily and is very loud but quite tinny so the best way to listen is to use a set of those ear plugs that allow higher frequency sounds through yet block out all the wind noise and you can then ride for hours whilst enjoying music without all the background noise and without damaging your hearing. The only gripe I had was that I was unable to talk to my girlfriend via facebook messenger voice calling with it and had to pull over and speak to her via the normal phone method but as far as normal phone calls go, I couldn't tell you.

I've been looking at getting a headset for a while but didn't want to pay hundreds of pounds for a Sena or Cardo outfit. For the price I thought it was worth trying it.I have a Shoei Air helmet, which has removable inserts in the ear space and an easy to remove lining which means that this was really easy to fit. All the wiring is hidden inside the helmet with just the small cable that connects to the main unit coming out of the lining to the outside.The sticky pad stuck firmly to the helmet and the main unit attaches with velcro.It paired first time with my phone with noi trouble. I don't leave the bluetooth permanently on on my phone but the unit automatically turns off after not detecting the phone. Just by holding down the main call button the unit is reactivated and automatically pairs again, really easy.Due to the ear recesses in my helmet, it is comfortable and I don't feel the speakers at all.The sound quality is good, not great, but good enough to hear even on motorways.The battery life seems to be good. It lasts for ages between charges and doesn't take long to get fully charged. The bluetooth screen on my phone handily shows the level of charge in the device also.Overall I'm impressed with this and find it hard to fault for the price. I'll be buying a second one for my pillion!*As an update - I did buy a second one for my pillion. It too paired first time with a phone and was easy to pair to the other device. I like the fact that each device is paired to a separate phone, allowing us to receive calls independently and listen to music independently.The intercom function is enabled by a double tap on one of the volume buttons, whereby your pillion can choose to answer or ignore with the main button. HOWEVER, the sound quality is awful and, worse than that, is the intermittent howling that randomly occurs through the headsets.When you are talking, the speech is garbled, almost like you are underwater. That, coupled with the irritating howling makes the device absolutely unusable as an intercom.

Great device. Linked to sat nav and phone really easily. Very neat design fitted snugly into crash helmet. Clear sound and voice reproduction. Had a minor question and Avantree help desk responded within 24 hours and resolved query perfectly. Can’t wait to use it on the road! Nice one Avantree!

It's well designed, it feels robust but it doesn't do the job very bad quality of sound from the speakers and the microphone.Bought it, use it for 2 days.

Easy to fit in helmet although sound quality not the best

so far so good . The build quality is quite good , the sound quality is good too , it is not crystal clear but good enough, and definitely loud enough even on motorway speed . The only thing against it its the thickness of the speakers , you can use it in a regular helmet ( i tried it ) but after about an hour it gets a little bit uncomfortable , so if you can use it in a helmet that has pockets for speakers , at least thats what i did. Hope i could help.

Easy to fit on helmet, but the headphone ear pieces are too thick (9 mm) and push against the ears. The first 10-20mins seem fine, but then it really starts to hurt. At some point all you'll be thinking about is the pain in your ears/head.

For the price it is excellent, the speakers fits inside my crash helmet well and is comfortable and has good sound through bluetooth from my phone the problem l find is the volume control is difficult to alter whilst riding so l set the volume before l start riding and if l need to adjust the volume l do it from my phone , if l ever needed to by another helmet bluetooth l would definitely buy another one

Works great. Battery life is good about 3 days without charging while using 4 hours a day. Easy to install in my full face helmet. Sound is good except at high speed but that's to be expected. Great buy.

Consegna perfetta, nei tempi perfetti con confezione adeguata.Montaggio semplice.Limiti della mia prova: uso lo scooter sul percorso casa-ufficio di 30+30km, quindi si tratta di una prova limitata nel tempo. Non ho fatto prove significative di durata della batteria avendola ricaricata dopo un paio di utilizzi, diciamo dopo 3 o 4 ore di utlizzo.L'accoppiamento BT funziona senza problemi.Il suono è buono e forte, a volte fin troppo forte, bisogna stare attenti a non esagerare.Durante le chiamate telefoniche gli altri sentono bene.Purtroppo non funziona con le chiamate Whatsapp, non so se sia colpa del mio telefono (MotoG5), si WA o del chip BT usato dalle cuffie in questione.Globalmente un parere positivo, non dò 5 stelle per la questione di WA.

Se oye suficientemente bien . Si bien a partir de 100 el ruido ya es demasiado elevado como para tener una conversación telefónica correcta. Pero para música, estupendo, dentro de la calidad de sonido que puede ofrecer un auricular de este tipo.

They work well. Sound is good, at higher speeds I usually have it maxed so battery life is usually closer to 6ish hours. You'll want to invest in a quality helmet that has better sound protection
