Dune HD TV-206L HD Solo Lite Mediaplayer, Black

The first product had a faulty power supply however Amazon as usual fix this immediately. Amazing device, so much quicker and better quality compared to my Dune 3D and Dune Duo players that I have. I am now looking at selling my other 2 Dune units and replacing them with the new Solo Lite. Just as a FYI, the Solo Lite now comes with Wifi, it has 2.4Ghz included now, there was a slip of paper in the box saying the spec had been increased to include Wifi. Amazing product.

This is a review for the Solo Lite version of the player.The latest firmware is still in Beta so it's up to you whether you want to risk it but it offers many benefits over the last stable release including: Full support of HDR10 & removal of the subscription required to use the Movie Collection app.Playing files from an external USB3 HDD is as simple as plugging it into the Dune and away you go. So far I have tested H.264 and H.265 encoded files which played perfectly, no judder, accurate colours, no issues with sound syncing, very good!Navigating the main menu screen is a bit clunky but at least everything looks really sharp once you bump the output resolution up to 2160p (4k)The lack of an optical out connection means that unless your Amp / Soundbar is fairly new you won't be able to connect it to the Dune via HDMI if want to watch 4k content (not much around yet anyway)All in all a great value 4k media player as part of a NAS setup.

All is fine, but the full Blu-ray disk iso menu access premium support as well as My Collection is limited for me to 17.02.2017 while it should be twelve months from the date of purchasing. I have to contact Dune manufacturer directly to restore my Premium licensee.

I have hardly used this unit since I bought it, 6 months ago.Even though I use a gigabit ethernet connection to connect to my media library, more often than not it only attains a few mbps throughput. Due to this, video lags and looks terrible. Every time I have to disconnect the network cable and insert it again to get decent network performance. Have tried with several cables, and even bought a new switch to exclude my network equipment as the problem source. The problem remains, their support do not answer at all when I point this out to them, and no firmware updates are provided.I used to have a good impression of other Dune models, like the 4K solo even. But this is just ridicuous.

Obviously no HDR with this model but it seems more stable and user friendly than most of the newer android boxes. Now my collection and menu support is included it’s worth the price.

Plays almost all formats.Excellent product

This Dune has played all my mkvs, 1080p and 4K included. Fast menus and firmware regularly upgraded.Would highly recommend

I COULD NOT FATHOM WHAT THIS ACTUALLY DO!!!! - an Android box does more - Russian software is not my preference - an over priced media box that does very little for media as their is no real software available and I will not learn to start writing software to make it work - my final word is that all the reviews I have seen are not true. Who would buy unusable multiple of this product for your home - what would they play on it? Blu-ray discs- you actually need to connect a player or drive - wasted several hours trying to make sense of this box - then sent it back.

Until now:Fast, easy to use and with good graphical interface.Could come with analog outputs (RCA); difficulty in detecting sources through the network.

Meine bisherigen Player Dune HD Prime 3.0 (Wohnzimmer) und Zappiti 3D (Kinoraum) haben mich bereits über viele Jahre wegen ihrer überragenden Format- und Netzwerk-Kompatibilität überzeugt. Im Austausch des DUNE HD Prime 3.0 habe ich jetzt einen Player gesucht, der auch die 4-K-Medien von meiner Fujifilm X-T2 Kamera (ca. 110Mbit/s) abspielt. Dies tut dieser Player tadellos von USB und aus dem Netz, und im Vergleich zu den vorherigen oben genannten reagiert die Bedienung (Zugriffe) noch schneller. Angeschlossene Platten stellt das Gerät zuverlässig ins Netz und erreicht auch alle meine Freigabeordner aus dem Netz, von PC, NAS, Laptop, von den anderen Dune/Zappiti und aus der FritzBox(UPnP). Was ich benötige, erfüllt der Player zu 100%.

Cercavo un media player affidabile e soprattutto che leggesse il nuovo standard HEVC, per poter progressivamente trasformare in questo standard e quindi risparmiare prezioso spazio su disco, la mia collezione di film. Dopo una esperienza con un TV BOX Android che ogni tanto si inchodava e soprattutto dava problemi con l'audio in AC3, cercavo un apparecchio semplice nell'uso ma performante e affidabile: questo legge tutti i tipi di file video che gli ho dato in pasto (avi,mkv,mp4,h264,h265 etc.) senza battere ciglio (e con qualsiasi tipo di codifica audio); l'interfaccia è gradevole e fluida, non ha mai avuto dei blocchi e ho gia effettuato due aggiornamenti del firmware tramite internet (ce l'ho da un mese).Inoltre la visione è molto buona anche con file di risoluzione non eccelsa perchè ha un processore del segnale video che porta in automatico la risoluzione al massimo consentito dal display a cui è collegato (sino a 4K). Come Media Player per una collezione di film archiviati su HD esterno USB mi ha molto soddisfatto. Per il prezzo....costa di più dei 60€ che avevo pagato per il TV BOX precedente, ma direi che li vale!

Le boîtier conserve le SoC Sigma Designs SMP8758 (CPU Dual Core), un traitement vidéo VXP avec mise à l'échelle des vidéos SD et HD en Ultra HD 2160p, ainsi qu'un décodeur HEVC compatible 10 bits permettant la lecture des vidéos encodées au profil Hi10P. Les seuls différences entre les deux modèles proviennent de l'absence de rack HDD 2,5 pouces, le tuner DVB-T2/S2, le module Wi-Fi 802.11ac double bande intégré, et les compatibilités Z-Wave et Control4 restant restent réservés à son grand frère. La fonction point d'accès/routeur Wi-Fi (dongle en option) reste en revanche présente.La connectique reste pour l'essentiel dans le même ton avec entrée HDMI 1.4b, 2 ports USB 2.0, une sortie audio RCA/SPDIF, une prise Ethernet Gigabit, et une sortie IR.La qualité de décodage est exemplaire, quant à la mise à l'échelle, elle s'avère d'une précision et propreté particulièrement intéressante lors de l'upscale des sources SD vers HD.L'interface Dune présente les périphériques disponibles autour de l'unité centrale comme un disque dur USB ou SATA, un navigateur réseau pour accéder aux médias stockés sur le réseau local.Après le premier branchement le lecteur fait directement la mise à jour s'il est branché soit par internet, soit par Wi-Fi. Après cette mise à jour un système de scraper est ajouté au système, ce dernier permet d'importer les informations (synopsis, réalisateur, acteurs, codecs, etc.) et jaquettes, et de les importer dans un dossier placé à la racine du disque dur qui sera associé au lecteur Dune.Pour mon utilisation essentiellement la lecture de fichiers mkv, tous les formats sont reconnus et à l'utilisation c'est fluide dans les menus du lecteur. Sicuramente il miglior player testato fino ad oggi, grafica non eccessivamente bella, ma funzionalità al top, legge tranquillamente tutti i tipi di formato, veloce e nessun lag durante la riproduzione. Secondo me superiore anche a Nvidia shield, mede8er, Kodi, Plex e tutti i player android che ho provato, finalmente qualcosa di affidabile, veloce e senza dover impazzire con mille impostazioni. Acesso, aggiornato il firmware e subito operativo.
