Nancy Drew®: Sea of Darkness [Download]

I really liked this game compared to other games from HER. This game was nice and the puzzles blended decently so you didn't feel like you were just doing puzzles to get somewhere. I do agree that there were a lot of puzzles - and they're logic puzzles so I used a walkthrough and the hint system for most of the puzzles, but still they were kinda realistic for keeping things safe. As I did the puzzles and went through the game, I still kept in mind the story and the task at hand and why Nancy was there, and the puzzles didn't distract that thought either. The only thing I didn't like was that when you're making food, it's another puzzle- I preferred actually making food like in the past games. This food puzzle reminded me of the food game in the game where Nancy goes to Japan, but luckily you don't have to do the food puzzle, so it worked out. But I gave the rating a 4 instead of 5 because there was a lot of puzzles, I like the older games where there was a few puzzles. It's still a good game though, I've already played it twice.

I really enjoyed this game. Let's start with the location. The scenery was very serene and beautiful. The Northern Lights are visible, the little town is the perfect Christmas Village, and from the crow's nest, you have an excellent view of it all. The game was playable for that reason alone. Fortunately, it was also fun. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible. I spent a lot of time going back forth, here and there, but that's to be expected from a Nancy Drew game. The characters were multi dimensional, and I actually really ended up liking them a lot. I usually don't care a whole lot for the supporting players in the Nancy Drew games, but I really got drawn into this one and really enjoyed learning their back stories, speaking with them, and I was happy when it all worked out for them even though they are fictional. This is the best Nancy Drew game yet, in my opinion.

Was able to get it to download without a problem.Got this for my mom for her birthday, so we could all play together as a family. The setting and story line were fun, but the games, not so much. All of the games were logic/number puzzles, and it felt like the majority of this particular Nancy Drew was a TON of these games. The one in the kitchen - forget it! Tried looking up hints on how to do it and still couldn't figure out any rhyme or reason behind it.

It was hard to get past not being able to actually captain the ship... Graphics, storyline, puzzles were fine but I was a little disappointed. Worth playing if you love Nancy Drew games as much as I do. I’ve played most of them and overall, this is an upper-mid level game about on par with White Wolf.

I'm impressed.Ghost of Thornton Hall was fantastic, but I had started to lose faith with Labyrinth of Lies and the shattered Medallion. But HerInteractive has earned my respect back.I liked all of the puzzles, the concept, and the graphics were incredible. You really get the Icelandic experience!This may be just be me, but most of the characters were relatable in this one.I'm not throwing any in game spoilers in here, but when you finish game watch the teaser trailer for the new game coming out some time this year. It looks intense and amazing (yes, I know the voice is different).

Best ND experience in a while. I missed the good games...just one & it is forgettable. But plot, places, etc satisfying. Would like a little more change of venue & animation in characters. Good graphics and puzzles in this game. Rumour has it ND games are a gonner ... or changing drastically. Sad if true since they fill a niche.

The past few Nancy Drew Games have been disappointing but this one put them right back on track. It is so good! Worth every penny. This game is one of the best ever made, in my opinion. My brother and I powered through this in about two days. Such a good game, we'll be playing it again and again. Can't wait for the next. Hopefully it is as good as this one.
