TOMS Men's Berkeley Slipper

I don’t understand how the all black fit so different from all other Tom’s. I’ve had several pairs of Tom’s over the years and never had any issues with sizes, I’m always a 9.5.I ordered 9.5 but they were too loose. The shoe pops off when I walk. Okaaaay, so bizarre. I went back and ordered a size 9 thinking they run big and it’ll fit properly. The size 9 came in today and it’s too tight!! 🤬I added a picture of the 2 side by side. That is a huge difference from 9 to 9.5

For all the ladies looking to purchase this shoe: please remember it is sized for MEN, it is the MENS model of the classic Alpargata. I repeat: The sizing you see above is for men. So if you order a 7, thinking of the size 7 ladies Tom's you have in your closet, these will be at least 1.5 sizes too big for you.I, myself, am a woman. And I ordered these shoes, sized for men, because I have giant lady feet that can fit average male sizes. I could not find a women's 10 in the red alpargata stocked anywhere reputable on Amazon but lucked out with this item listing. I am a size 10 in women's footwear. Ordered an 8.5 in these Alpargata slip ons. They fit great. Here is a quick guide for conversion sizing:If you wear a size 10 in womens, you're an 8.5 in mens.9.5 in womens, you're an 8 in mens.9 in womens, you're a 7.5 in mens.8.5 in womens, you're a 7 in mens.You get the picture.These are classic, authentic, well made canvas Tom's. They are comfortable, easy to wear, versatile, and can take a good beating. This specific listing has great options for the MENS sized Alpargata, and by extension, options for ladies who have larger-than-average feet.Otherwise, order arrived on time, in genuine Tom's packaging. The were shipped by a third party but are still completely authentic Tom's.A word to the wise: once you've broken these in and wear them regularly, try not to get them soaking wet. As in, do not submerge in water. It can warp the (p)leather sole, and they will stink to high heavens, as if somehow releasing all the dirty feet smell they previously contained & kept at bay. This goes for all canvas lined, leather/pleather soled Toms. That certainly shouldn't be a delabreaker though.

Sometime isn't right.. about 2 weeks into wearing these shoes ( everyday to the office, except weekends) something smells. I noticed a weird smell and chocked it up to being the fridge and microwave smelling but then the girl next to me asked me to take my trash out cause she smelled it too.. After I took the trash out I noticed the smell lingered. Then when i got in the car i could smell it on me. I have never had such smelly sweaty feet in my life. I love these shoes, they're so versatile and cute but they stink. literally. I have two other pairs of toms, one with fur so i don't wear socks, they don't smell, the other is the same as these black toms but burlap outside instead of canvas and i never wear socks with those and they smell fine. I don't know how to make the smell go away i washed them in the washer and air dried them i have sprayed anti-fungal in them nothing helps. Its terrible :C other than the terrible smell they fit great & go with everything.

I really wanted these to work as I've been looking for a slip on shoe for casual use. The shoes are so minimalist and perfect for a city like Los Angeles for just walking around. Unfortunately, I'm right between sizes 12 and 13 for Tom's which is right where they stop making half sizes. I even tried a few other standard loafers from Tom's and have the same issue which is a pity. Their 12's feel like they're pinching too much and I can feel the edges of the sole under the sides of my feet. 13's go on and off too easily so they'll just be loose slippers when they break in. If there was a 12.5, these would get a 5 star. I did like them besides sizing.If you're like me and have slightly wider feet or fall between sizes, check out Tom's Avalon Sneakers. They're similarly priced, look somewhat similar but the main difference is they'll have a thicker and slightly wider base which will be more forgiving size wise and honestly a bit more comfortable walking in them. I fit into a size 12 so size down if you're in between.If someone is playing detective on my reviews, I am copying this review to the other Tom's that I tried on.

These are my favorite shoes to wear for summer. They are great to slip on easily when I am headed out the door, and look better than normal flip-flops. The shoes run a size smaller than usual; I wear an 8 for Nike Running shoes and Vans sneakers, and I wear a 7 in Toms. They are a bit tight at first, and feel rigid, but after a few weeks wearing them, they molded to my feet.I wear these slip-ons often, without socks, and my previous pairs have gotten smelly, but after hand-washing them with some detergent and water and a small scrub brush, they became like brand-new. My previous pair lasted two years (I looked at my Amazon order history), and started to tear where my big toe is, and know these pairs will last the same amount of time too.Overall, these shoes are my go-to for sock-less footwear, and would highly recommend them.

All my pair of shoes(Nike,adidas,vans) I buy them in size 11 so it was no brainier to get these in size 11. But when I got them they were just a little to big. I don't know if it's because I have narrow feet or more then often people that are size have 11 wider feet. But overall I liked them. And they dont run in half size. But Tom's FAQ say you should get one size down if you wear size and half shoes

Purchased for a birthday gift for my brother. He has size 12 feet! They fit well and Tom’s love his feet!He wears steel toe-capped boots during the week and loves to wear Tom’s to give his feet a break. He has several pairs colours but agrees the sole of the alpagarta is excellent.

I like them but they are a slim fit and a bit hard to put on. Once on length seems ok but I am aware they are narrow, I almost returned them due to this but have persisted with them and I think they are giving a bit with use.

These espadrilles are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They are lightweight and come in a range of colours. So impressed with then I have bought three extra pairs for my forthcoming holidays. Love them.

Although fits well - the upper canvas rubs me feet so I never managed to break them in enough to wear without getting blisters - need to wear indoors with socks first

I liked these shoes but ordered a bigger size as previous purchase was too small. I will return these as 2 sizes up was too much. Other wise they are great and I will order more (in correct size).
