I was skeptical, but it really worked miracles on my alpaca.
I didn't take "before" pictures because I didn't think this product would work. Now I'm sorry that I didn't. I have an alpaca that has been scratching his itchy ears and armpits for 5 or 6 years. He's scratched them so vigorously that the skin was bald and had thickened to the point that it looked like cauliflower. Gross. We don't know what caused the problem, since it existed year-round, but the bugs bothered those spots so badly in the summers that he wouldn't leave the barn. We've tried everything over the years to try to help him out, but nothing has worked. We used this paste a couple of times per week for a couple of weeks. We didn't really notice anything at first and gradually forgot about using it (we're bad alpaca parents). Within a few weeks, we noticed he had stopped scratching, but his skin was still thick and bumpy, and he still didn't leave the barn. Over the past few weeks since then, the scratching has totally stopped, and he's back out enjoying the pasture. The hair has almost totally grown back on his armpits, and the hair is growing back on his ears.If your alpaca is itchy and the skin is all thickened and bald from constant scratching, give this product a try. Like I said, we've tried lots of products for lots of years, and nothing worked. This cleared it up in 4-5 treatments (we used a total of half of a tub of product). I'd be willing to bet that if we'd tried this years ago, it would have worked much more quickly.

This stuff is magic!
My lease horse gets THE WORST sweet itch every year, and thus far this season, this stuff has been amazing. The claylike texture really adheres under his belly and on his sheath. His skin isn’t scaling or cracking. The critters that cause sweet itch hate this stuff, so they leave him alone now. This stuff is rad.

Creates a good seal on any wound
Just tried Coat Defense on my horse who had a couple of cuts when he came in from turn out. Used the cream after giving cuts a good washing with antiseptic and then let it dry. Once dry I applied Coat Defense and in about 15 minutes it dried to be a solid covering to the wounds. Best of all, it stayed on to protect if from flies here in South Florida. I also gave some to a friend to use for a sore on his horses face and he had same good result.

It works!
My horse had sores on a rear pastern that wouldn’t heal for many weeks, despite daily cleaning and treatment with another product. On a friend’s recommendation I tried this- within a few days the sores had dried up, and within two weeks they were gone. I would definitely recommend!

It did everything there video shows.
We were very happy with this product. Bought it late in the season but feel it will seriously help with some of the horses issues.

All purpose product
We bought to pack in my daughter horse's hooves. The horse had developed thrush due to the weather here. It works great for that and also for other skin conditions and minor scrapes, nips, etc...
